Some Like It Preppy - Men's Fashion Week Moments

Yes, and so do I when I set foot into the Hilfiger temporary store in the center of Milan.
Dresses, shoes, bags, accessories: everything was so preppy and absolutely nice.
Ok, I usually have a rock style and I prefer wearing studs, leather jackets and boots, but as soon as I see something classy, elegant and casual at the same time, I definitely go crazy about it.

Here some pix I took last saturday during the opening night

A Day with Vente Privée

A Parigi mi sento sempre a casa.
(Paris Paris, tu m'appartiens...)

I always feel like home in Paris. Everytime I go back it's like my bond with this place was closer and closer.
(Paris Paris, tu m'appartiens...)

I went back in Paris at the beginning of june (it was my birthday day: I couldn't find a better place to celebrate it) to visit the Vente-Privée headquarters and glance behind the scenes of its world.
Imagine the enthusiasm and the adrenaline, imagine being in the city you've always dreamt about to live in order to visit one of the most cool place in the world! So, multiply all by 1000 and you can get an idea of it!

As soon as I crossed the threshold, I felt like Alice in Wonderland: works of art scattered all over the the space (sculputures, paintings, photographs), a huge bookcase full of books to look up and borrow (that's the reason why I think about wonderland), a recording studio (Gibson and Fender in profusion, ready to be played) and a real creative factory (an extraordinary war machine where lots of trailer and shootings are created everyday), like in New York in the period of Andy Warhol (endless open spaces made of red bricks), from where it was hard to go out.

What would you have done in my shoes if you were in a big photography lab animated by a steady stream of photographers, models, stylists, designers, photografic and video equipment? You would have stolen half of the factory, perhaps (damn, why didn't I think it before?)

I also met Thomas who introduced me the wonderful world of digital animation, making me feel like a stupid and trying to teach me some design lesson without giving up before my obvious incapacity in using even the simplest programm. What a saint!

Risultato?

The result?
I'm more and more in love with Paris, (and with parisian boys), with the incredible philosophy (ok, I have to admit it) I didn't knew very well and with the big raspberry macaron enjoyed in a french bistrot.

Thomas and I at his digital desk

PS Don't look at my fat arm but it was the "position" the made this ugly effect (ok, I need a diet soon, very soon)

Milan Men's Fashion Week - Iceberg S/S 2012

One of the shows I loved most.

Very good music (Joy Division, Mad World by Gary Jules),
a very friendly atmosphere in the backstage and an irresistible effortless and intellectual style on stage.

I'd gladly steal some pants, jackets, jumpers and shoes for my wardrobe, since I love wearing men's wear every day
and every night.
Do I have some problem with my identity perhaps? Who knows!
