Masters'Hands. Ferdinando Scianna meets Fratelli Rossetti
Craftsman's hands, writers' hands, common people's hands.
Hands that go beyond time, imprinted on the eyes and the heart of those who meet them.
They're the hands captured by Ferdinando Scianna's snapshots that celebrate very intense moments he lived during his life.
Now these images are gathered on Masters'Hands, the sicilian photographer exhibition mounted at Fratelli Rossetti Gallery in Piazza San Carlo, Milan.
The exhibition accompanies the presentation of Genesi, men's lace-up shoe, F/W 2011-12 collection highlight and emblem of that italian craftmade tradition that makes a piece unique. The shoe, hand-painted on natural leather, is marked out by its concealed stitches manufacturing that leaves no traces on the shoe surface.
Some passages of this process are captured in some of the Scianna's snapshots that, besides his past unpublished works, exhibits some pictures recently taken in the Fratelli Rossetti shoe workshops in Parabiago.
Mani che scelgono - Parabiago 2010
I've already seen the exhibit yesterday and I also have been lucky to meet Ferdinando Scianna who, besides being one of the most important personality in the photography world, is a very lovable person. Listening to his anecdotes about his life, experiences and photography was an incomparable emotion.
If you are in Milan these days I recommend you to pop around, it's worth going.

Backstage Photodiary Pt.1 - Moschino
Vanessa Hegelmaier
I think backstages are the most exciting part of a fashion show.
You can find noise, bustle, strain, waiting and, at the same time, the real essence of fashion universe.
It's also the ideal moment to capture some good snaps of this magic and glamorous world.
So, today I want to show you some pictures taken during the last Fashion Week in Milan.
Hope you appreciate...

Splash of Colour
Holidays are over and I'm reluctantly back to Milan.
I found rain, cold and leaden sky, how sad!
I'm looking forward to spring weather and so, I started to think about summer looks.
I took these pictures some months ago and I think these vitaminic colours are perfect
to bring some brightness during these dark days.

Yes, time has come: let's think about summer outfits!
